Abstract In this study, we introduce the themes of Special Issue on Art, Creativity and Automation. Sharing 3D Visualization Practices in Archaeology , present most important outcomes a roundtable session involving prominent researchers field, organized by authors during Archon Winter School February 2020. By assessing diversity research aims, artistic projects, creative practices technology used contributions to Issue, drawing thoughts perspectives generated discussion, seek identify shared challenges within community visualizers which could ultimately pave way practices. light, assess whether established charters guidelines are still relevant now matured digital archaeology, where visualization techniques have attained central position archaeological knowledge production. Although parts become common practice, remainder did not keep up with fast pace development practice its current fundamental role as result some risk becoming obstructive practice.
